The next era of development in the automotive arena is seen to be more towards electric vehicles. In parallel, it also requires an intact network of vehicle chargers to ensure that consumers dare to switch to electric cars.
In Malaysia, efforts towards it have started, including by Petronas and Shell. In addition, it also witnessed several new participants such as Tenaga Nasional.
Most recently, Proton also announced its intention to invest in electric vehicle charging networks.
Proton will partner with one of the local charging providers, including offering domestic unit installation for consumers who want to charge their cars at home.
