In just a few days, Samsung will launch a device with their new foldable screen. Now they have first launched a brand new operating system which is One UI 5. This One UI 5 is built based on Android 13, which is the new Android operating system that has been tested by Pixe users for a long time.
One UI 5 will be distributed to Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra users first. The version to be received is the first Beta which is limited to users in the United States, Germany and South Korea only for now.
Samsung revealed that one of the new features of One UI 5 is the ability to customize more comprehensively by offering 16 color theme options based on the user's background image and 12 color options to be used on the home screen, icons and notification tray. Widgets also now support stacking for space saving and a tidier home screen.
With the intention of giving users more focus, notification control is also better with users more easily blocking irrelevant ones.
Samsung is also following in Apple's footsteps, where each app can now be set to a different language as seen in iOS 16. This feature was also shown in the Android 13 beta on Pixel earlier. One UI 5 also has better ringtone and volume controls and deeper haptic effects controls.
As always, it's not a new operating system if there are no updates for security. Security on One UI 5 is further enhanced for user safety. For cameras in Pro and Pro Video modes, users can shoot high-quality photos and videos with a tap on a new icon, and the system will also provide tips for different lens controls and uses. The zoom bar is also updated to be more responsive and fast for users to easily zoom with just one hand.
The Magnifier feature has also been updated for disabled users, where users will be more comfortable using it. Video and keyboard will also support audio description, for users with disabilities it is easier to use Samsung devices. Finally, the security and privacy dashboard is also updated for users to see any vulnerabilities and how to resolve them.
