Scientists Study Sharks That Can Walk On Land Without Legs

There are hundreds of species of sharks that exist in the ocean today, and most recently, a group of scientists from Florida Atlantic University and Australia's James Cook University are studying a rather unique species of shark, known as the epaulette.

This species of shark is believed to be an evolution, and has been talked about since the early 2020s.

These sharks can "walk" on land using their fins. It is seen that it can live on land for about more than an hour.

This method is also one of the ways for this species of shark to escape from predators, which is by going ashore. So far, as many as nine shark species have been identified with this way of life that can adapt on land and "walk" using fins.

For now, further research is expected to be done in understanding evolution, including how it adapts and breathes.
