Sony PlayStation seems to be focusing more on video games on the computer platform soon. Until now, Sony video games for PC could only be purchased through Steam or the Epic Games game store.
Video Games Chronicle recently found evidence that Sony may be coming up with a dedicated video game launcher for PC. This evidence was found through the files in the Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered video game.
The files found are PSNAccountLinked and PSNLinkingEntitlements, which hint that PlayStation PC games will soon be able to use PlayStation Network accounts to possibly collect trophies, view game activity, and may in the future allow players to directly purchase games through this launcher.
But for now it is still uncertain when it will be introduced. If not introduced, why these files exist will continue to be a mystery.
