What will the city of the future look like? Two decades ago the answer to this question was Dubai with dozens of skyscrapers and man-made islands. But in two decades the idea of the future has changed dramatically with the importance given to more sustainable systems and reducing the use of vehicles that pollute the air.
The Telosa concept city is the idea of tycoon Marc Lore to build a sustainable model city. He used the services of the firm Bjarke Ingles Group (BIG) to produce designs for Telosa.
Among the ideas used is banning the use of motor vehicles. Instead the residents of Telosa use electric powered pods that are shared with the rest of the townspeople. Additionally for longer trips, the same pod can transform into a flying pod with VTOL capability.
Various types of drones are used to deliver packages and food to residents. With the abundance of green plants, residents are also more comfortable to walk or cycle to nearby destinations. For now Telosa is still just a concept with it possibly being built in Nevada, Utah, or Arizona by 2030.
