World of Warcraft Debut Reportedly Canceled By Activision Blizzard

Since taking over Activision Blizzard, Tencent has been actively producing the first versions of all their video games such as Diablo and Call of Duty. Latest in a Bloomberg report, Activision Blizzard has canceled the initial development of World of Warcraft (WoW).

Permua (WoW) was developed by Blizzard and Netease but the division of profits could not be agreed upon and the game that fans were definitely looking forward to was canceled. All 100 staff were let go by Netease after the project was cancelled. This result is surprising because it was developed over the past three years.

The recently launched Diablo Immortal for mobile devices hit $100 million in sales in just 10 weeks. There is clearly a high demand for Activision Blizzard's IP but now the question of finances is a stumbling block due to the high profits that will be generated.
