What we have realized since we got married is that many clothes need to be washed every few days. Sometimes only a few clothes need to be washed and at other times the washing process needs to be done several times a day. Only one washing machine at home is not enough.
Yesterday Xiaomi launched a washing machine with a multi-stage dryer under their Mijia brand. This washer-dryer has a capacity of 15 kilograms - 10 kilograms below and 5 kilograms above. With two stacked washing machines, owners can use a small capacity washing machine to wash a small amount of clothes without wasting energy using a large capacity washing machine. After finishing washing, the clothes are dried directly without having to be removed from the lower drum with a drying capacity of up to 7 kilograms.
According to Xiaomi, it is quite difficult to realize the design of this multi-level washing machine and dryer because the vibration of two machines moving simultaneously can cause damage. The built-in spring system reduces vibration and at the same time allows it to operate at a sound level of around 48 dB which is as loud as a conversational voice.
Control is done entirely on the contact on the machine cover door at the top. Both of these washing machines also have different soap dispensers allowing the owner to only do the cleaning that is compatible with the fabric. In China, this multi-level shirt machine is sold at a price of RMB 5999 yuan (~RM3954) a piece.
