Masayoshi Son, CEO of Softbank and also chairman of ARM will go to South Korea to hold a meeting with Samsung for the two companies to cooperate. A meeting between him and Samsung vice chairman Jay Y. Lee may happen as early as next month.
A strategic collaboration between the two companies will be discussed but the details are still unknown at this time. Samsung is a technology giant not only in the production of mobile smart devices but also in the production of high-tech chips.
After NVIDIA canceled the purchase of ARM after receiving opposition from various parties, Qualcomm appeared as a company interested in buying it through the formation of a consortium.
