CIMB today shared several developments, including stating that it will end the use of SMS TAC. Apart from that, to further increase security among users, CIMB stated that they will stop including URLs on SMS sent to customers.
This step is expected to be implemented as early as the end of 2022.
With this, it will also prevent users from clicking on dangerous links from third parties who often pretend to be banks – and then steal user information.
CIMB will probably do promotions and announcements related to this matter when it is implemented in the future - at the same time to avoid consumers becoming victims of scams that use the wrong banking name and so on.
