Microsoft Will End SwiftKey Support For iOS 5 This October

iOS started supporting third-party keyboards in 2014. Since then, Google started offering Gboard and SwiftKey before being bought by Microsoft also offering their keyboard apps for iOS users.

Recently, Microsoft announced that SwiftKey support for iOS will end on October 5th. Users who have already installed the app will be able to continue using it, but next week the app will no longer be offered in the App Store.

SwiftKey for iOS is said to have not been updated for about a year and various reported problems have also not been fixed for months. Microsoft did not explain why they stopped supporting this app on iOS.

However, SwiftKey for Android will remain supported as well as on Windows where the built-in keyboard technology is built on the same technology.
