Honor 80 Pro And 80 Also Announced – Powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, 160MP Primary Camera

 


Today's launch event also saw the introduction of the Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro. One of the main highlights of both devices is the 160MP main camera. In addition, both are also equipped with a Snapdragon chip with built-in 5G support.



We start with the Honor 80 Pro. It uses a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED curved screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip is used as the mainstay with memory matching up to 12 RAM and internal storage up to 512GB. A 4,800mAh battery is also included with a 66W wired charging system.



Next, the main camera configuration consists of 160MP (main) + 50MP (wide angle & macro) + 2MP (depth) without OIS support. Meanwhile, the front camera is 50MP (main) which is then followed by 2MP (depth). Other specifications include a USB-C connection port, NFC, bluetooth 5.2 support, NFC, an on-screen fingerprint scanner and running MagicOS 7.



Moving on to the Honor 80, it uses a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is then paired with a Snapdragon 782G chip with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The battery is 4,800mAh which also supports a 66W wired charging system.



The main camera consists of 160MP (main) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (macro) without OIS support. Next, the selfie camera is 32MP. Other specifications include a USB-C connection port, bluetooth 5.2 support, NFC, an on-screen fingerprint scanner and running MagicOS 7.




For the sale price, Honor 80 is sold in China starting at RMB2699 (~RM1724) (8GB/256GB), RMB2999 (~RM1916) (12GB/256GB) and RMB3299 (~RM2108) (12GB/512GB). Meanwhile, the Honor 80 Pro is priced from RMB3499 (~RM2236) (8GB/256GB), RMB3799 (~RM2236) (12GB/256GB) and RMB4099 (~RM2619) (12GB/512GB). No information on availability for the Malaysian market is known so far.
