Today, Honor in China has launched a device with their second generation foldable screen, the Honor Magic Vs. This device is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, using a thinner design, a better hinge system, a larger battery of 5000mAh and using a 54+50+8 Megapixel camera system.
In China this device runs MagicOS 7.0 operating system based on Android 13. It is offered with three variants namely 8/256 GB, 12/256 GB, 12/512 GB and or Prestige Edition with stylus support with 16/512 GB memory. The selling price starts at around RM4,798 and reaches up to around RM6,967.
Honor Malaysia representatives told us that they are 99% confident that this device will enter the Malaysian market. Unlike the Honor Magic V which is specialized for the Chinese market, the Magic Vs will come with a global variant. However, this global version will only arrive in 2023.
In addition to Honor, Honor may hold a special event for the launch of the global version of Magic Vs around after the MWC Barcelona 2023 event.
