Xiaomi seems to have started their Android 13 testing for select devices specifically in China. MIUI 14 is their Android 13 operating system and the beta test started on November 28 and will end on December 28, while the launch will be done on December 1, 7 pm.
On Weibo, Xiaomi also shared details about MIUI 14. Xiaomi claims it is the lightest and most basic MIUI ever offered with a focus on small update sizes, better memory management and the fewest non-removable system apps.
Through Project Razor, MIUI 14 will make better use of memory and go through a memory management process one by one according to the running applications and utilize the entire memory as best as possible. By reducing system applications that cannot be removed, better memory usage, the size of updates is promised to be 23% smaller.
Xiaomi promises lighter usage and better performance with MIUI 14. With Xiaomi 13 to be launched on December 1 along with MIUI 14, this operating system will take advantage of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, benefit from the use of LPDDR5X memory, UFS 4.0 storage, as well as will offer a dedicated Genshin Hardcore mode for playing Genshin Impact at maximum graphics settings.
