Touch n Go eWallet today announced the introduction of a number of new security and fraud protection features that will be implemented on the digital wallet in stages by the first quarter of 2023.
TNG eWallet says the introduction of these securities is in line with the settings set by Bank Negara Malaysia recently.
Among the five strategies that will be introduced are:
Migration from using SMS-based OTP to a more secure authentication feature.
Improved settings for blocking suspicious transactions
Activation period that takes a little time for first time verification.
Limit one authentication device per transaction
Provide support services for incident reports.
At the same time, TNG announced they were the first digital wallet to be part of the National Scam Response Center. With this step, TNG says they can provide a faster response than other digital wallet providers to customers for an incident that occurs.
