Kuo – Apple AR Headset Production Delayed To H2 2023 Due To Software Issues

Apple's augmented reality (AR) headset is predicted to launch next year. It will be Cupertino's answer to the Meta Quest headset which according to Zuckerberg is the best portal to the world of metacity. There have been various rumors about the device that received the nickname Apple Glass before. Now renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says the production of this headset will be delayed to the second half of 2023.

Software issues were the main reason it was delayed from the original target of Q2 2023. We previously reported that the xrOS operating system would be used instead of the original realityOS name. What this issue is not explained. Previously, Kuo said that one of the issues found at the development stage was that the headset was still too heavy and heated up.

A total of 500,000 units are believed to be produced in the first year. It is still believed to be shown in Q1 2023 during the WWDC event in January. With this date approaching, the accuracy of Kuo's prediction this time will be known in the near future.

Apple's AR headset will have the same features as the Meta Quest. However, Apple refused to use the term metamesta to promote this device. A few years ago Tim Cook said AR technology would be more important than it is now with analysts feeling headsets would replace the iPhone within a decade.
