The View Count feature was introduced on Twitter last week as a way to see how many times a posted tweet has been viewed by other users. Through it, it can be expected to measure whether or not the product is well received and this is useful for advertising.
However, with it being placed in the leftmost position below the tweet, it causes users to often press the wrong button to answer the tweet or re-tweet. Average users don't like this unsolicited new feature.
Elon Musk has been a fan of users who don't like View Count. According to Musk, Twitter will give users the option to turn off this feature in the future. But he still believes that over time users will get used to View Count. Hopefully this promise is confirmed by Musk and this feature is not only given to Twitter Blue customers.
