ChatGPT makes the process of creating a long essay as easy as entering some short text. This raises the issue of artificial intelligence (AI)-authored works submitted by students for class work assignments. Several services have been launched to track AI essays such as GPTZero. The latest AI Writing Check has been developed with the same capabilities.
AI Writing Check is developed by Quill and CommonLit is an open source service that can be used for free. Like ChatGPT, AI Writing Check also uses artificial intelligence to detect works not written by humans.
The service is still in its infancy and it can only check works of 100-400 words at a time in English. For longer works, it should be broken into several paragraphs.
With services such as AI Writing Check, GPTZero and TurniItIn AI, at least teachers have some weapons to combat the activity of creating homework using ChatGPT.
