Digital Nasional Berhad today shared their coverage rate in Malaysia so far, reaching up to 90% in some areas. At the same time, DNB also shared that data usage on the 5G network has now increased up to 8x, from 32TB previously, and now reaches 253TB per day.
In terms of users, DNB said it reached a peak rate of up to 90,000 simultaneous users as of December 30, 2022.
DNB also said that the 5G network has an average download speed of 380Mbps, which is more than 10 times the current average download speed of 4G, which is 35Mbps.
In Malaysia, so far 5 telecommunications companies offer 5G networks to their users, including Celcom, Digi, U Mobile, Unifi Mobile, and Yes.
