Yesterday, we have seen a partnership come to the web arena, selling data allegedly from several sources, including Maybank. At the time, Maybank had said it was conducting further investigations into the allegations.
Now, in continuation of that, Maybank today confirmed that the alleged leak is untrue.
Maybank also assures their customers that the data remains safe, and nothing is compromised.
Previously, the government had also stated that the allegations were inaccurate, as the Maybank account number displayed was invalid and non-existent, and the transaction could not be carried out.
