There Are Now Over 3 Billion Android Devices Supporting Nearby Share

Nearby Share is Google's answer to Air Drop by Apple. What makes Nearby Share even more interesting is that it supports faster file transfer, no problem transferring large files, and can also be sent to many devices simultaneously and if it's a device with the same Google account – no authentication is required.

This fast file transfer feature by Google can only be supported on Android 6.0 devices on Android devices with GMS and also Chromebooks. Google informs, until today there are more than 3 billion devices supporting Nearby Share and it is still being distributed to more devices.

If we want to transfer files from the device being tested to the everyday device to share to social media or want to do a backup – Nearby Share is our choice for Android devices. How about you, do you use this feature often?
