Yahoo Will Layoff 20% of Workforce

 Yahoo, one of the most popular internet companies of the last decade, is now seen to be laying off around 20% of their workforce.

The shutdown is a restructuring of the company, including Yahoo's own focus. What is surprising is that 50% of the sales force will be cut off, impacting 1000 employees.

Yahoo is expected to reduce the focus on the advertising sales part of the company, instead it is expected to focus more on the collaboration with the recently announced Taboola.

In addition to Yahoo, this week we also saw a number of technology companies announcing layoffs, including Dell, Zoom and Disney.
