Fahmi Fadzil today shared some things with the youth in conjunction with the Youth Empowerment Fair 2023 event, including one of them touching on social media.
According to the Minister of Communications and Digital, today there are more than 19 million TikTok accounts based in Malaysia. TikTok shows a drastic improvement compared to other services, especially considering that it has only been popular for the last two or three years.
However, Facebook is still seen as leading the social arena in Malaysia with over 20 million accounts based in Malaysia.
Fahmi Fadzil also emphasized not to spread defamation through social media, and to use it prudently. At the same time, he also emphasized that digital literacy should be taught from a young age, in order to ensure that users can avoid being deceived by various scams nowadays.
