Nous – A Q&A Chatbot Developed By Local Developers And Can Be Trained Using Own Data

Mesolitica, a company that focuses on the arena of artificial intelligence and machine learning, is now present with a new product named as Nous.

Nous offers the integration of bilingual support, namely English and Malaysian. However, some of our experiments show that it also uses Indonesian in responding.

Nous is seen to be developed with the aim of helping a business or a firm in providing its own chatbot, at the same time simplifying some tasks - especially involving customer service. Nous can be directly integrated with services such as Telegram Messenger, Facebook Messenger and even WhatsApp Messenger, in addition to providing widgets to be directly added to an organization's web.

The interesting thing about this Nous is that users can control the data taught to the chatbot. When setting up Nous, users can teach it through a number of URL addresses, or use documents loaded in a Google Drive folder.

Through our own experiments, the fixing method is quite simple. We tried it ourselves by teaching Nous to use documents from Google Drive, and after less than a minute, it managed to digest about 10 documents we provided. We used Cereka's recent competition winner's work in testing Nous, and once we finished digesting it, Nous was able to answer some of the questions posed.

Through Nous, it is seen as focusing more on providing customer service. Some queries are also limited to a certain number of words. However, this can be said to be an interesting development in the local artificial intelligence arena, even helping small and medium-sized companies to generate their own chatbots to help optimize their work without incurring high costs.

For example, business owners can teach Nous various manual documents related to their company, and then generate a chatbot and connect it to Telegram in providing customer service. Since Nous can identify the language of everyday conversation, it can be used in answering customer inquiries 24 hours a day without any problems.

Its developer Nous wants to add some new support in the future, including a new form of URL storage, the addition of analytics, audio-to-text support, and more.

For now, the developer states that this Nous application offers a one-day trial phase with a limit of 1 chatbot for a free account. For those of you who are interested, you can try this Nous today.
