One of the problems of opening a new website in 2023 is finding a suitable website name. Because the internet is over two decades old, good website names are all taken. Google Registry has added 7 more new domains today targeting fathers, academics and techies.
7 The latest domains are .dad, .phd, .prof, .esq, .foo, .zip, .mov and .nexus. Some sites are already using this new domain such as games.nexus a video game site and url.zip which shortens URLs that want to be shared online.
Address registration using this domain is now open with a one-time fee. Previously Google Registry announced .dev and .app domains for application developers.
