National Space Policy Action Plan 2030 Launched

The Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim today officially launched the National Space Policy Action Plan 2030, in parallel with the organization of the LIMA'23 event in Langkawi. This plan is in Malaysia's effort to develop its own space technology - parallel to the National Space Policy 2030.

The National Space Policy 2030 Action Plan outlines a number of strategies, initiatives and programs until 2030, in line with the objectives of the National Space Policy 2030.

Previously, the National Space Policy 2030 was launched, aiming to ensure that the space sector can be utilized and contribute to a new strategic area of economic growth. The National Space Policy is also the basis for drafting the Outer Space Act. This Act aims to regulate the activities and operations related to the space sector such as the launch and operation of satellites, the registration of objects launched into space, the operation of Earth stations and other related activities.

MOSTI is now targeting a contribution of up to RM10 billion to Malaysia's GDP that can be achieved from spaceflight by the year 2030, through these various implementations.
