The Maybank MAE Application Now Supports QR Payments in Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand

Maybank through an official statement announced that the MAE mobile banking application now supports cross-border DuitNow QR transactions, including in Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand.

This means that any user traveling to the country can make a QR payment directly to the merchant where the currency exchange rate will be displayed automatically. In the meantime, this facility also allows tourists from abroad to make non-cash payments in Malaysia in ringgit using supported payment applications.

The daily transaction limit is up to RM1,000, or equivalent to RM1000 in foreign currency. However, users can still change this limit through the application settings. It should be noted that users also need to confirm for any payment that exceeds RM250.

Please make sure the MAE application has been updated to the latest version to enjoy this update.
