Instagram Reels Videos Can Now Be Downloaded By Anyone

Instagram through a new update allows users to download Reels videos on smartphones. This function was initially only distributed among users in the United States but has now begun to be expanded globally to try.

Looking at the shared screenshots, its use is more or less the same as TikTok. Where the user can save any video from the open account directly on the smartphone by simply tapping a dedicated button provided. It can be accessed by pressing the share icon (Share) which then has a special download button (Download) to continue the saving process.

One of the important things to note is that every saved video will have the owner's watermark. At the same time this function can also be deactivated through the settings area for users who refuse to allow their Reels to be downloaded by the public/followers.

For now, a check through our personal account however has not received any of the specified functions. Thus we can assume that it is introduced gradually to Instagram users.
