Proton S70 is sold at a starting price of RM 73,800

The Proton S70 has finally been officially launched for the local market at a price that will surely surprise fans of C-segment vehicles. This sedan may fall into the C-segment but its selling price is more on par with smaller B-segment vehicles such as the Honda City. In Malaysia, the selling price of the S70 starts from RM 73,800 for the Executive model.

This later increased to RM 79,800 for the Premium model, RM 89,800 for the Flagship model and RM 94,800 for the Flagship X model which is the flagship among the four models produced by Proton. The difference between the models is that there is no ADAS system on the Premium and Executive models which can be said to be a little disappointing for a 2023 vehicle.

Even so, Proton still includes six airbags and a 1.5L turbo engine that produces 150 horsepower as standard. This is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic system with manual controls. Owners can choose three driving modes, namely Eco, Comfort or Sport.

Inside the cabin there is a 12.3" touchscreen infotainment screen that can also be controlled using the voice command "Hi Proton". Streaming music from smartphones is possible but without Android Auto or Car Play support. Five USB-A ports are placed in the cabin for the needs of various electronic devices as well as a wireless charger in the front.

Each vehicle also comes with insurance for five years with no mileage limit, and free labor services as many times as you like when servicing the vehicle. For Flagship and Flagship X buyers, 1GB free data per month is also given for the first five years.
