The Ministry of Communications and Digital now states that it is researching and studying the use of satellite technology as a medium for telecommunications towers - which will allow the telecommunications system in Malaysia to be further improved. This research is being done through SKMM.
If successful and implemented, it is expected to solve the problem of various black spots without telecommunication coverage today.
It is said that in addition to internet via satellite, several new technologies are also being developed that will use satellites as communication towers.
For now, it can be said that it is still in the early stages, and the final result is unknown.
Also for information, today some device manufacturers have started to integrate satellite communication support but for emergency purposes. It is not impossible that communication technology involving satellites will continue to develop rapidly in the coming years.
