Maybank : Beware Of Suspicious Links Regarding eMADANI Credit Redemption

As you already know, registration for the RM100 credit of the eMADANI program can be made from today until 20 February 2024. A total of four e-wallet service providers are involved, namely MAE, Setel, ShopeePay and Touch 'n Go Wallet, with claims through specific applications set.

Due to this situation there is no doubt that there are a few individuals who will take advantage by committing fraudulent crimes including online. Therefore, people are advised to use the prescribed medium in making redemptions to avoid any loss of credit.

Accordingly, Maybank advises the public to always be alert to any messages with suspicious links related to this program whether on WhatsApp or text messages. At the same time, they are also strongly requested not to click on the link to avoid the risk of unwanted events happening without realizing it.

The redemption process is entirely through a dedicated app which means no third party services are required for it. The government previously also confirmed that action will be taken against any case involving P2P transfers or cash redemptions.
