The government continues to drive the implementation of energy efficiency initiatives through the Sustainability Achieved Via Energy Efficiency (SAVE) 4.0 Program. A digital rebate of up to RM400 is offered through it for the purchase of energy efficient electrical goods. At the same time being able to educate the people about the importance of environmental sustainability through energy saving.
As before the digital rebate applies to the purchase of air conditioners and refrigerators with a 4 or 5 star energy label. Redemption is also limited to one electricity bill account for electrical equipment purchased during the year. Applications can be made through two methods either presenting the electricity bill at a registered shop under this program.
Alternatively, it can also be done online through recognized e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop and PG Mall. The implementation period of the program has been set for one year starting from December 2023 to December 2024. Check the SEDA website for more information related to it.
