Second Generation Acer Aspire Vero Is Their First Carbon Neutral Product, Will Be Powered By Intel Meteor Lake

Last year, Acer launched their Acer Aspire Vero laptop series as a way to show their willingness to change the way they develop a computer product, but also how users can benefit from it without having to sacrifice performance.

Today, at the Acer GPC Dubai event, Acer has introduced their second generation Acer Aspire Vero 16 laptop, where Acer says that the laptop frame is now made of 60 percent PCR (Post Consumer Recyclable) plastic material compared to 30 percent in the previous model. this.

Just like before, this Acer Aspire Vero 16 also does not use any paint, dyes and so on to reduce pollutants not only in their products, but in their laptop manufacturing factories, which is part of the overall concept of Conscious Technology to preserve the entire Acer business . Just like the previous model, the touchpad of this Acer Aspire Vero uses glass made from ocean plastic.

Acer has also confirmed that the Acer Aspire Vero 16 will be powered by an Intel Meteor Lake processing chip, and will come with a more powerful Intel Core Ultra chip offering. Specifications on these components and others such as memory and storage will only be revealed at CES 2024, but this appears to be the first confirmation of Acer using Intel's Meteor Lake chips in their offerings.

In fact, the packaging of this laptop is emphasized by Acer, where they say that the Acer Aspire Vero 16 box will use cardboard that is 100 percent recycled and also with standards from the Forest Stewardship Council which ensures that the paper used is from a sustainable source.

Just like the Acer Aspire Vero 16 that was launched last year, one of the main advantages of this laptop is the ability of users to replace and upgrade the components in this laptop by themselves, such as memory, storage and even batteries when they need to be replaced.

Jason Chen, CEO and chairman of Acer said that this Acer Aspire Vero 16 is a laptop, and even their first product they say is their first carbon neutral. This means that from the construction of the laptop, the assembly of the components and even the packaging and shipping process that does not show any carbon footprint when it is sold to the consumer.

More details about this laptop will be known later at the CES 2024 event in Las Vegas next year.
