Acer Predator Connect X7 And T7 Routers Support 5G And WiFi 7 Launched

Since last year itself, many smartphones have been launched with WiFi 7 support but routers to support this new WiFi connection still do not exist. At the CES 2024 event earlier this morning, Acer announced two routers that support it with Qualcomm technology.

Predator Connect X7 5G CPE

This router supports SIM cards for 5G connections that can reach speeds of 3.5 Gbps. Not only that, this Connect X7 also supports tri-band WiFi 7 BE11000 which promises connection times as low as 1ms. Connect X7 also works as a mesh router and it gives users the freedom to either use WiFi 7 with 5G or an Ethernet connection. This router also has a security system so that connection problems do not occur.

Predator Connect T7 Wi-Fi 7 Mesh Router

This router also uses the same mesh technology, WiFi 7 tri-band but it does not have 5G support. Instead Acer includes a High-Band Multi-Link Simultaneous feature that allows many Connect T7s to be connected to each other for wider and more stable coverage.

In addition to using a quad-core chip from the Qualcomm Immersive Home Platform, these two routers also come with Intel Killer Prioritization Engine technology for detecting data on the network and managing it according to user activities such as playing video games, browsing the web or running productivity applications.

Since this router is a Predator product, it also doesn't forget to include RGB support on the top as well as a small LED strip on the front. Users can also control both the Connect X7 and T7 through the Acer Predator Connect app. For the sake of user security, Acer also includes the Trend Micro Home Network Security engine to ensure that the user's Internet connection is not interrupted.

At the time this article was written, Acer still did not list the sale price and sale date. Presence for the local market is also still not confirmed for now. Let's all look forward to the further development of this WiFi 7 router.
