Fossil has now officially confirmed that they will no longer introduce any smart watches on the market. Instead, they will continue to focus on their core business, which includes offering traditional watches, as well as a number of other luxury items under the Fossil brand.
Regardless, Fossil says it will continue to support existing smartwatches for a few more years.
With the landscape of the smartwatch arena being so competitive, it seems that Fossil is taking steps to avoid having to compete with various other brands, and focusing only on their core expertise. Could it be that after this, more other brands will also follow suit?
