The procedure to approve an application for a Halal certificate is one of the challenging processes, where various food ingredients need to be analyzed, in addition to several other steps. Now, in an effort to speed up the matter, JAKIM is developing their own artificial intelligence system.
This artificial intelligence (AI) system will help in further simplifying the procedure of approving halal certificate applications. Through it, it is expected to speed up the review process of thousands of menu ingredients and ingredients for halal certification.
For now, it is not yet known when JAKIM will be ready to develop this system, and start using it in the daily work process.
