At the beginning it was just in the development stage but now the feature called Channel polls has started to be offered to selected users to try. This at the same time makes one-way communication in general more interactive and interesting. Viewing shared screenshots of the function is provided through the main page and then the response from the community can also be limited to one option only. Each vote is also kept confidential from all including Channel administrators by using numbers instead of names to protect individual privacy rights.
This Channel polls feature is also said to have an additional layer of security that naturally protects user privacy more. It is however only available to selected WhatsApp Beta users so far before being widely distributed in the near future.
