The most powerful chips for Android devices competing with each other this year are Dimensity 9300, Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Each of these chips still uses 4nm construction and each has its own uniqueness. We already know the capabilities of the Dimensity 9300 as I mentioned in the vivo X100 Pro review.
The performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has also been proven to be powerful by the iQOO 12 device. In this article, I will focus on two chips that are only used in Samsung devices, namely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy and the Samsung Exynos 2400. Samsung has the performance of both comparable but is this true?

The benchmark test performed is using three well-known applications namely AnTuTu 3D, Geekbench 6 and also 3DMark. 3DMark will have two tests namely Wildlife Extreme and Solar Bay. In this comparison I will also include the score of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (iQOO 12), Dimensity 9300 (Vivo X100 Pro), A16 Bionic (iPhone 14 Pro Max) and A17 Pro (iPhone 15 Pro Max) so you can see the difference between the chips landmark in the market now.

CONCLUSION
In this test, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy has obviously been optimized for the S24 Ultra to be capable of heavy tasks such as AI processing and multi-tasking. Good Ray Tracing capabilities but not as strong on 3D graphics as the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The Exynos 2400 is slightly higher than the performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 but is still low when compared to the Dimensity 9300 on the vivo X100 Pro device.
The S24+ with Exynos 2400 also has the same multi-core power on Geekbench 6 as the S24 Ultra. Despite already having 12GB RAM + 8GB RAM Plus, the Exynos 2400 still does not have great high graphics capabilities, but instead also focuses on the balance between productivity and entertainment.
The Apple A17 Pro on the iPhone 15 Pro Max has been wiped out in all the above tests except Geekbench 6 which shows that the best chip for this iPhone has an advantage on the CPU instead of the GPU. The Apple A16 Pro recorded the lowest GPU test score but in the Geekbench 6 test it still beat all flagship chips from MediaTek, Samsung and Qualcomm this year.
Will Samsung follow Google's strategy by stating the Exynos 2400 chip is not built for overall performance but software optimization capabilities? Clearly here the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is the most powerful. But that's because the iQOO 12 device itself is trying to be simple by offering the best performance and not focusing on AI.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy and Exynos 2400 are developed to handle daily tasks, modern capabilities and most importantly process heavy AI tasks. If you want a device with productivity performance balanced with the first, Samsung is your choice. But if you want to get the most optimal Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 performance, a gaming device or one that doesn't focus on AI should be your choice.
Actually I'm a bit disappointed that this Exynos 2400 chip doesn't have benchmark scores comparable to Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Dimensity 9300. If this is Samsung's strategy to bring Exynos back, in my personal opinion people will be pissed. Exynos is still not ready for the public to accept. Maybe a 3nm version later?
