X started blocking searches using the keyword "Taylor Swift" on their site yesterday. This temporary blocking action was carried out by X after pornographic images of Taylor Swift generated by artificial intelligence (AI) began to spread on the social media site.
In addition to blocking Taylor Swift searches, X has also deleted tweets containing the pornographic image. What X has done is quite special for Swift as they have previously refused to delete AI-generated fake images involving artists, politicians and other religious figures. This is because they adhere to the principle of "absolute freedom of speech" according to Elon Musk's instructions.
Taylor Swift has issued a statement that she will sue the individual who produced the fake image. It is highly likely that X deleted any pornographic images of Swift to avoid being sued for failing to prevent their spread.
