James Dyson Award 2024 Registration Now Open – All Young Inventors




Registration for the James Dyson Award 2024 has now been opened for students and graduates in the design, engineering and other industries who can start registering their creations for a chance to win national and international awards.


The James Dyson Award is an event that celebrates young inventors, designers and engineers who create new technologies that can be used to improve people's quality of life regionally and globally.



This award event has supported more than 400 young inventors around the world with a sum of RM500 million and more than two-thirds of the international winners of this award have commercialized their creations to allow them to be used by the public.


In Malaysia, last year, the national James Dyson Award winner, Lim Zi Suen won it with his creation called Soapy, which is an educational game that teaches children about the importance and importance of washing hands properly. He won a cash prize of RM26,500 to further develop the project idea.



Registration is now open until July 17, 2024, where a panel of engineers and inventors will then select the national winners on September 11. From all these national winners, 20 winners with the best ideas will then be shortlisted where two international winners and a sustainability winner will be announced on November 13 this year.
