In the development of startups in Malaysia, it is seen as having high potential and being able to compete at the global level with the right support. The latest Shell LiveWIRE Malaysia 2024 program registration has opened. It is held to open up greater opportunities for startup companies that have the potential to further improve their business performance.
It doesn't matter if the business idea is still at the stage (pre-start), early stage start-up (less than 2 years), or already has a business, everyone can submit an application online. This is because it is specifically designed to support and empower the entrepreneurial journey.
To meet the criteria of the program, each company/group must consist of at least two members and Malaysian citizens. Ideas should be related to sectors that align with the program's focus such as technological innovation, social impact and environmental sustainability. In addition, must be fully committed to the program which includes Bootcamp, Demo Bootcamp and Demo Day sessions if selected.
The evaluation of ideas is based on aspects such as innovation, feasibility and potential impact that are in line with the LiveWIRE object. Next, only the top 30 companies from all over Malaysia including Sabah and Sarawak will be shortlisted to participate in this program.
All candidates will then undergo a series of appropriate business analysis workshops for five days. Then presented their respective ideas to qualify them to be the top five winners during the Demo Day Boothcamp and take home a grant prize of RM10,000. It didn't end there, the best candidates were also eligible to participate in a three-month accelerator program that also included sharing sessions with mentors. Finally, an additional grant of RM30,000 was given at the culmination of the Demo Day Programme.
