The Sony PlayStation 5 Pro Exists And It's 45% More Powerful

It is rumored that the Sony PlayStation 5 Pro will be launched in the near future but so far it has only been rumours. But The Verge is now reporting that developers have started receiving documents from Sony that confirm the existence of a console that has improved capabilities from the original PlayStation 5.

At Sony, the PlayStation 5 Pro was developed under the code name Trinity. In the same document the PS5 Pro GPU is 45% more powerful with the CPU operating at a speed of up to 3.85GHz which is 10% faster than the PS5.

The speed increase is also done on the memory which operates at a speed of 576GB/s compared to 448GB/s which is almost 30% faster. This is to enable the PS5 Pro to run raytracing mode better while offering higher graphics capabilities.

Another new feature of PS5 Pro is PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) which is very similar to DLSS by NVIDIA and FSR by AMD. The ability to increase the quality of graphics as if a PC will finally be possible on the PS5 Pro console. There are speculations that the PS5 Pro will launch this year but Sony has yet to confirm it.

Last year PS5 sales did not reach the target set by Sony. The PS5 Pro may be Sony's move to re-increase their console sales.
