Acer Launches 3D Video and Photo Camera With SpatialLabs Technology

Acer SpatialLabs Eyes Stereo Camera was launched today a few days before the Computex Taiwan event. This camera is capable of taking photos and videos in 3D with it supporting SpatialLabs technology which allows this content to be viewed without special glasses.

Not limited there, the Acer SpatialLabs Eyes Stereo Camera can also be used for live streaming in 3D through platforms such as YouTube. 3D teleconference sessions via Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet are also supported.

The camera is equipped with two 8MP cameras on the front with a built-in selfie mirror. The camera body also has waterproof capabilities. Behind the camera is a 2.41” LCD touchscreen. The 1500 mAh battery allows video recording up to 37 minutes and takes 180 photos. The connection to the PC is done via USB-C which allows it to operate like a normal web camera.

Recorded content can be viewed back using AR/VR headsets or products with SpatialLabs technology offered by Acer such as the Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition. Acer SpatialLabs Eyes Stereo Camera (ASEC-1) will go on sale from Q3 at a price of $549 (~RM2584) apiece.
