Alibaba Injects Additional $230 Million Investment Into Lazada



Lazada, one of the e-commerce sites in the Southeast Asian region, is now seen receiving an injection of investment funds amounting to $230 million from Alibaba. For information, Alibaba has previously invested several times in Lazada in order to ensure that the operation of the e-commerce website runs smoothly.


Lazada today can be said to receive fierce competition from Shopee, in addition to the market also being entered by TikTok through TikTok Shop.


For now, it is not yet known how Lazada will use this additional injection of investment funds – whether for marketing, or just operations.
