In the market now there are thousands of phone models with dozens of new models being launched every week. This caused us to not be able to comment on all of them and some were published late. But what are the best-selling devices globally? According to Counterpoint Research, the top 10 best-selling smartphones in Q1 2024 were released by Apple and Samsung.
The best-selling smartphone is the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max with a share of 4.4% of sales. This is followed by iPhone 15 (4.3%), iPhone 15 Pro (3.7%), iPhone 14 (1.9%) and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (1.9%). What is interesting here is that the most premium iPhone models record the highest sales for Apple and Samsung.
Apple previously reported that iPhone sales revenue declined last quarter but they still dominate the top four best-selling models. For Samsung, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is the best seller, but the second best seller is the affordable Galaxy A15 5G. Samsung offers a mid-range device that is competitive in terms of price and best-in-class Android software support.
