Aurora Is Now The World's Fastest AI Supercomputer

Last June Aurora was ready to be installed with it targeting processing capabilities at the exaFLOPS level. This week it was officially crowned as the world's fastest AI supercomputer. Aurora recorded a processing power of 1.012 exaFLOPS also recorded a capability of 10.6 AI exaFLOPS which makes it the fastest supercomputer for AI in the world. It is also the second supercomputer to reach the exaFLOPS level after Frontier.

In theory, Aurora has the ability to process up to 2 ExaFLOPS. A total of 21,248 Max series Intel Xeon CPUs are used and it is also matched with 63,744 Max series Intel Data Center GPUs. This also makes it the computer with the largest GPU cluster in the world.
