Google Expected To Announce Investment In Malaysia In The Nearest Time



Tengku Zafrul, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry has now shared that internet giant Google will announce investments in Malaysia in the near future. The amount of investment and matters related to it are expected to be announced after it is approved later.



This latest partnership comes as a continuation of the meeting involving Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim along with several other ministers with Google earlier this week.


In addition to investment, Tengku Zafrul also shared that they discussed with Google several matters, including to train and improve the talents of Malaysians in three sectors, especially education, agriculture and health.


Previously, Microsoft had also announced an investment of RM10.5 billion in Malaysia. Several technology companies have also expressed investment in Malaysia, in line with the increasing need for semiconductors and also the artificial intelligence industry itself.
