The Leica D-Lux 8 is a new compact premium digital camera. It also still maintains the same general design as the previous generation. But improvements have been made for a more user-friendly control system with an interface inspired by the Leica Q series cameras.
This camera uses a 21 Megapixel micro 4:3 sensor paired with a Leica DC Vario-Summilux 10.9-34mm f / 1.7-2.8 ASPH lens (equivalent to 24-75 mm in 35 mm format). In addition to offering support for the DNG (RAW file) format at the same time making it the first D-LUX camera to support it. The use of the Leica FOTOS application allows users to easily transfer photos between cameras and smartphones.
Another feature that this camera has is a touch screen on the back. In addition, it will come with a wide collection of exciting new accessories. So far Leica has not yet shared the full specifications but the camera will be available worldwide from July 2, 2024 at a price of EUR €1,590 (~RM8,121) apiece.
We also haven't found any sales price details for the local market yet. But Leica Malaysia has started to open registration of interest for it on the official website.
