Panasonic announced the official launch of the new Lumix S9 camera in Malaysia. The focus is on a compact and lightweight design, as well as allowing users to easily produce high-quality images and videos through the functions provided.
The new Lumix S9 offers a light body weighing 403 grams in a variety of colors. The camera also has a full frame 24.2MP CMOS resolution sensor along with the latest Venus Engine processor. In addition there is also built-in stabilization system support with a maximum of 6.5 stops included. This combination can offer up to 8FPS/30FPS continuous shooting capability using the electronic shutter.
The recording capability is up to 6.2K30P which is also equipped with more accurate autofocus tracking with the help of AI. At the same time also offers a new recording format MP4 Lite which allows users to record at 30P/25P quality in 4:2:2 10-bit format. Next, users can easily change the size of the aspect ratio to be suitable for social media broadcasts on smartphones through the LUMIX Lab application.
Another feature that the camera has is the Active I.S technology which is very useful to ensure that the recording remains stable in various scenarios. In addition it has a dedicated button to activate the LUT function on the back of the camera, and up to two LUT functions can be used simultaneously. It should also be mentioned that the LUMIX S9 still offers a 3″ touch screen that can be moved by the user even though it comes in a compact size.
The pre-order session opens from 30 May 2024 with a price of RM7,599 for the body only. It can also be purchased together with the DC-S9KGA R2060 Lens at a price of RM8,999. Every purchase includes a free SmallRig L-Shape Handle, battery pack and 64GB SanDisk Extreme Pro SD Card.
