Panasonic announced the new LUMIX S9 full-frame mirrorless camera with a compact and lightweight body. At the same time making it easy to use and able to create a fun new experience among content creators. There are four color options given which include Jet Black, Crimson Red, Dark Olive and Night Blue.
Also in focus is a dedicated button to activate the LUT function on the back of the camera, and up to two LUT functions can be used simultaneously. Through it users can now switch between LUT functions or different color profiles easily without having to search in the main menu. Users can even create their own unique LUT color profiles through the new LUMIX LAB app.
Touching on the specifications LUMIX S9 is equipped with a 24.2MP CMOS sensor that can be matched with an interchangeable lens. It is also matched with the latest image processor chip for a better experience. In addition to having an improved autofocus system along with a built-in stabilization system with Active I.S technology that is very useful to ensure that the recording remains stable in various scenarios.
The recording capability can be made at a maximum of 6K30FPS in 4:2:0 10-bit format. In addition to the new recording format MP4 Lite that makes it easy for users to record high quality videos in the optimal format for smartphones. At the same time can easily change the size of the aspect ratio quite suitable for social media broadcasts through the LUMIX Lab application.
It should also be noted that the LUMIX S9 still offers a large tiltable touchscreen despite its compact size. The LUMIX S9 will go on sale in June 2024 with prices starting at $1,500 (~RM7,072) each.
