Qatar Airways has now announced a partnership with satellite-based internet service provider, Starlink. Through this collaboration, Qatar Airways airplanes will be equipped with Internet service support provided through Starlink - making it easier for passengers to continue accessing the Internet while in flight.
For the initial stage, Qatar Airways will complete three Boeing 777-300s under them with Starlink support, by the end of 2024. It is expected to be extended to cover all their modern flights within the next 2 years.
Qatar Airways aims that all their customers will soon be able to enjoy internet access up to 500Mbps while in flight - allowing them to use internet services as usual, including for streaming, playing videos, etc.
